A Midsummer Night's Dream
by William Shakespeare
The Gazebo Players' inaugural production was William Shakespeare's A
Midsummer Night's Dream. Four performances were given free to the public
at the Medfield Gazebo Park on July 20, 21, 27, and 28, 2002, at 5 PM. The
weather cooperated, although it was threatening during a few performances.
Audiences ranged in size from 120 to 180.
In addition to being the company's inaugural production, "Dream" was notable
for its inclusion of school age children as Titania's attendants. The cast
ranged in age from 8 to 73, and drew from towns across the region.
Free performances of "Dream" would not have been possible without grants from
the Medfield Lions Club, the Medfield Women's Association, and the New 'n Town
Club of Medfield.
